  Site Security and Access Control
iTS systems are designed to protect property, equipment, personnel and your insurance premiums.
Not only can iTS provide site access control but can also monitor, control and prevent the use of plant, equipment and vehicles. A physical barrier to ensure only those trained and authorised can access and use hazardous equipment or equipment requiring training to operate.

Access Control

Protect and control access to your premises and restricted areas. iTS can install card reader access on traffic barriers, access gates, main doors and internal doors.

The system is controlled by a software application on a personal computer and is easy to administer and add or remove users. Zones can be set up to allow selective access to secure and less secure areas.

 KEY FEATURES INCLUDE:

Central database
Easy to administer and update for new staff / lost cards

Security levels
Set up various access levels

Time limited access
For temporary staff or visitors

Link to staff database
External database can be used for access authorisation

Monitor
Monitor and report on access/arrival times and who is where

Card selection
Contactless RFID card or full insertion options available

Plant and equipment control

What happens when an untrained operator uses plant or equipment? There is an elevated risk of accident, personal injury, equipment damage, not to mention the following investigation. Are you in a position to say you took reasonable steps to prevent this from happening?

The iTS equipment control security systems prevent unauthorised use of plant and equipment. This could be forklift trucks, internal yard tractor units, pickup trucks, panel vans, cranes and heavy plant or just about anything you want.

The system uses a local radio network to allow the central security system to communicate with the equipment on site to authorise and monitor access and use. For equipment that can move off site a standalone system can be provided with its own local database of users.

This system can be part of a larger access control system and can also be implemented with an existing site access control system and can use the same type of access cards if required.

The system not only authorises and monitors the use of the equipment but can also monitor the equipment location. Equipment condition monitoring can be provided for such things as low fuel, engine temperature high, low oil pressure, equipment involved in a collision etc.

This system now makes it possible to automatically detect if a vehicle has a collision, who was driving, and where it was.

Integrated systems

iTS can also provide fully integrated systems where the security system is linked to other onboard systems to provide full security and a level of equipment automation.

An example of this is a container crane system where the system is linked to a full equipment and cargo tracking system with a multi language operator instruction panel. In this example the system status is shown to the operator on the instruction panel asking him to insert his user card before the equipment can be moved.
